I am not sure what is with me lately (couldn't possibly be the late nights for really no reason and lack of sleep), but I hate been so tired. Naps are the only thing keeping me fully functioning.
I have always been a big nap-er.
In high school, on days I didn't work (I was a Ruby's girl waitress in those days! Shooby Dooby Doo - might only make sense if you've been to a Ruby's), I would almost always take a nap as soon as I got home from school before
In nursing school, I started the same pattern. Taking (freakishly long) naps after getting home from school before getting started on the mountain of homework and studying.
My schedule is a bit different now, but I have certainly been partaking in my share of naps lately. While I guess it would be more efficient to just sleep adequately at night, I have to admit I genuinely enjoy napping. I also really love the "second-wind" I get after a nap - so much energy and inspiration!
(Things not to love about napping - you often get woken up by others who are so crazy as to not be asleep at 4 in the afternoon, along with the fact that it perpetuates the cycle. Nap one day, stay up late because you are not tired, must nap the next day - and on it goes.)
I have decided not to open up Grateful Sundays as a link-up for right now. Love that Tutor Girl participated last week, and I will consider doing so again if there are more people interested!
You are a lucky gal! I wish I could nap. I can only fall asleep and nap during the day when I'm sick.

Hey! Found you via 20sb! :)
ReplyDeleteI graduated last year and REALLY miss my naps since entering the working world. I managed to fit in a few hours before heading out the other evening, and the second wind felt amazing - I forgot how good!
May have to start factoring naps back in to my schedule! :)
