Wanna know something that sounds really cool,
but also kind of isn't?
85 degree weather in January.
That's right, I went there.
I said what we, as Southern California sun-lovers, are not supposed to say.
There's a certain kind of feeling you want to feel in winter, isn't there?
You know what that feeling is?
Chilly.
It's hard to feel like you're in the throws of a fabulous winter when wearing shorts and t-shirts (or scrubs with no sweater - unheard of). I hate to complain (no I don't) about something so many people love about our sunny state, but I'm just sayin' I wouldn't mind a California winter for a few weeks at least. (California winter being in the 50s and 60s you know, I can do without the real winter temps.)
I hope my fellow Californians won't disown me after this post.
80's mmmmm.....We have 40 and we think it's a East wave right here.
ReplyDeleteI used to live in upstate NY, it's about 8 degrees there right now!
ReplyDeleteBut, I feel ya! I've been in Hawaii for a year and a half, two winters of 80 degree weather!
I absolutely agree. 100% It sucks.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more! I want to wear my scarfs, boots & peacoats!
ReplyDeleteIt was 55 in Chicago yesterday and today its 25. Ugh. I would die for warmer weather:)
ReplyDeleteIt was 70 degrees here today in NC. That's just unheard of in January! Such a weird winter!
ReplyDeleteI want to wear cute winter clothes, not shorts. I'm with ya.
ReplyDeleteThat temperature is INSANE for wintertime! I live near Seattle and I think that 50 is warm for winter... crazy!
ReplyDeleteOh, I can soo see where you are coming from. We just moved from LA 4 months ago and I remember last January laying out on the beach, pregnant belly and all, and thinking "this isn't right. It's JANUARY!" But now that I'm living in the frigid cold - I'd take 80* any time of the year! But I totally get what you're saying.
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine it being in the 80's right now! All us Michiganders are freaking out over it being 35 because it feels so warm! We have much different standards lol
ReplyDeleteI clearly need to be in CA because this sounds like heaven. You should come to Texas because it chilly but not miserable!
ReplyDeleteSame problem here in Florida! The worst part is that it is 85 and then the next day you wake up to 55. You break out your "winter clothes" (aka light sweater, boots, long sleeved shirt) and then the following day you wake up to 85 degrees again,...grr. I just want at least a week of cooler weather!
