Loved Megg's story yesterday about how she got to where she is. I certainly took a winding path to where I am now, and I love how Megg admits that if you would have told her what 28 looked like years ago, she never would have believed you!
Today, Jaqueline from JaquelineParis fills in for Things Thursday! She is happily engaged, and will be sharing some things to love (and hate) about being engaged! I was engaged for 22 freakin' months, so I can definitely relate to these Things on Thursday.

Hi Stress Casey readers! I'm guest posting for Casey while she's on vacay, and I'm here to give you a little insight into the wonders and woes of a bride-to-be. 1. LOVE: The new bling and compliments galore.
3. HATE: Sore smile muscles and fake laughs after months.
4. HATE: The pressure (external and self-inflicted) to spend hours in the gym and forego all sugar, salt and carbs to slim down to be perfect bridal size.
5. LOVE: Registering! Yay for new towels and sheets! And everyone should get to use that scanner gun once in life.
6. HATE: The way boys camp in front of the TV to play video games for hours, and that they won’t eat Almond milk. They also leave little black socks everywhere, too. Apparently the hamper is elusive to males of all ages.
7. LOVE: Planning your dream wedding!!! Indulging in bridal magazines, and smiling (again) at the check-out when the cashier congratulates you.
8. LOVE: Using the word “fiancé”
9. HATE: Having to wait to use the words “husband” and “wife”
10. LOVE: Rationalizing marathons of TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress, Four Weddings, and your Kate Middleton obsession as “research”
11. LOVE: Sitting on the couch with your love, scrolling through iTunes listening to your favorite romantic (and silly) songs to pick a First Dance song.
12. LOVE: Dancing in the kitchen and learning to waltz via Google. 1,2,3…1,2,3…
13. HATE: Selecting bridesmaid dresses, centerpieces, ceremony programs, table lines, cake flavors, invitation fonts, and deciding on a stylish and unique color theme that coordinates with all previously listed details.
14. HATE: Dealing with stressed-out, emotional parents and stress over money for the wedding.
15. LOVE: Thinking about your future together, and about how the wedding is just one special day for everyone that loves the both of to wish you well for the magical, thrilling journey ahead.
