Today, let me introduce you to some of the lovely ladies in my life!
Cute Apartment and I met while we were both waitressing at a 50s themed diner. She is a Washington transplant to SoCal, and we've been friends ever since we both realized we used the word bitch as a term of endearment (okay, that's not quite how we hit it off, but pretty much). She is an interior designer, hence the Cute Apartment nickname, and her apartment is (wait for it) so cute.
Fashionista has been my best friend since high school (side note: a lot of my friends have been around since high school, either I'm loyal to a fault or I don't make new friends well). Girlfriend has a passion for fashion, and has worked for some big name brands. She is always on top of the newest trends, and has no problem taking fashion risks.
As if you couldn't tell from the above photo, Swagger...has swagger. She is just cool, you know? She's on top of the latest music and celebrity news; she works in public relations in Los Angeles and is constantly going to these fancy redcarpet celebrity sprinkled events. She is also one of the kindest people I know. I don't think she has ever said something intentionally to hurt someone's feelings, ever.
Ms. Does it All is another longtime girlfriend. She and I are so different, but I think that's what makes our friendship work so well - we're never competing with one another, because there is no competition. She is introverted and sweet, and I am obnoxious and outgoing. Her nickname comes from her ability and expertise in somehow doing way more than one would think humanly possible. In college she had a double major, was some fancy president of some fancy sorority organization, worked (I think more than one job), and managed to rage like the best of them on the weekends. She is currently living in Spain working as an au pair, taking Spanish classes, doing yoga and meditation, and traveling all over Europe - see what I mean about Ms. Does it All?
Oh, Nurse Sarcasm. Her name is pretty self-explanitory, but let me elaborate. The girl is fluent in a few languages: sailor-strength cursing, nursing and medical acronyms and abbreviations, and sarcasm. The girl can confuse even me as to whether or not she is joking or not, and I consider myself pretty well-versed in the art of sarcasm. Also, she is a nurse, and that is badass.
Just a little insight for you readers into some of the ladies in my life - more to come soon! Also, soon I'll reveal where some of HH's friends got thier nicknames!
